What to expect: Your mornings will begin at 9AM where you will run appointments with your assigned veterinarian. These appointments range from wellness visits to sick appointments with a wide range of species including cats, dogs, pocket pets, reptiles, and sometimes even wildlife! At noon, you will attend rounds where in-hospital cases are discussed among all the doctors. Feel free to ask questions or provide suggestions during the round discussions. Appointments start again at 1PM but you are welcome to take lunch at whatever time works best for you. Your day officially ends at 5PM (there are appointments running until 9PM so you can stay as long as you would like).
What we expect: We expect you to have an interest in small animal general practice, a professional attitude, and a willingness to learn. Importantly, we also hope you have lots of fun!
What to bring/wear: Please bring your own lunch. Occasionally there are educational meetings that you are welcome to attend and have a nice meal. You may also wish to bring your own stethoscope.
