
Dr. Geoff Wright was raised in Bethlehem in the upstairs of the Wright Veterinary Medical Center along with three brothers. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan Tech University and his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1981.
Dr. Wright is the Hospital Director.
Robert W. Stewart, VMDDr. Bob Stewart graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Zoology and received his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1968. He is a past President of the Veterinary Alumni Society. Semi-retired, he is available on a limited basis.
Eileen L. Mera, VMDDr. Mera was raised in Bethlehem and worked at Wright Veterinary Medical Center as a student. She received her BS in Animal Bioscience from the Pennsylvania State University and her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986.
Dr. Mera is the Safety Director.
Paula J. Flynn, DVMDr. Flynn grew up in Massachusetts and received her BS in Animal Science, MS in Ruminant Nutrition, and DVM from Kansas State University. She spent 2 years in the Peace Corps in Thailand between getting her Bachelors and Masters degrees. One dog named Bailey , along with 2 cats Max and Stella call Dr. Flynn’s house home. When not working, much of Dr. Flynn’s time is spent with her Husband and very active 3 year old daughter.
Dr. Flynn is Director of Human Resources.
Higinio Ortiz, DVM (Bilingual)Dr. Ortiz was born and raised in Mexico. He received his Veterinary degree in Mexico and also completed courses at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Ortiz shares his home with his wife, 3 children,2 dogs named Daisy and Lucky, and 3 cats named Wanda, Tika and Fluffy.
Dr. Ortiz is our Director of Surgery here at Wright Veterinary Medical Center. As Surgery Director his role is to Maintain and Improve the Surgical standards practiced here at the hospital.
Dr. Ortiz is the Surgical Director.

In Our Hearts Forever
Dr. Wright was raised in Bethlehem and attended Muhlenberg College. He continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and became a Veterinary Doctor in Bethlehem Township in 1949. The Wright Veterinary Hospital began in a renovated barn of his parents’ farm on Wimmer Road in Butztown in 1949. Although the original building has been added on too many times, one of the original stone walls of the barn is still visible in the phone room.
The Hospital started out with only 2 employees, Dr. Wright and his wife Louise, who was and still remains a graduate nurse. Louise assisted Dr. Wright for more than 25 years. The hospital presently employs , 12 Doctors, 4 of which are co-owners.
The hospital maintains the highest standard of excellence and has achieved the highest ranking with the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. Clifford Wright was a Chairman of the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners for more than 18 years.
Dr. Wright once stated: ” I wouldn’t want to be anything else. I have a love for animals. Being a Veterinarian gives me the satisfaction of doing good things for animals. I can always go to bed at night knowing at least that I tried my best.”
Dr. Wright practiced Veterinary Medicine for 58 years, and was lovingly called “Chief” by all of the hospital staff. We all know he did his very best for his patients and clients the same, and we will all continue to provide that same personalized quality of care, that makes this hospital what it is today.
Danielle M. Dulin, MVBDr. Danielle Dulin grew up in Syracuse, New York. She attended Purdue University and obtained a BS in Animal Science. Dr. Dulin then applied to and attended University College Dublin – Ireland for 5 years. She graduated in May 2000 from the University College Dublin as a veterinarian. Upon returning to the states she worked in Albany, New York for a small animal/exotic practice. In April, 2004 she moved to PA. Dr. Dulin enjoys working with all small mammals and birds as well as cats and dogs. She has five cats of varying ages, an Eclectus Parrot named Liberty,a Leopard Gecko and numerous salt water fish.
Marc J. Schnolis, DVMDr. Marc Schnolis is originally from Chicago, IL. He graduated with a DVM degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine before spending a year at the Hollywood Animal Hospital in Hollywood, FL as Small Animal Medicine Intern.
Kirsten Reis, DVMDr. Kirsten Reis was born and raised in Bethlehem, PA. She received her Bachelor degree from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Reis was previously employed at Wright Veterinary Medical Center in 1997. She began working as a Kennel Attendant and advanced to a Nurse Assistant before going to Veterinary School.
She has two cats named Willow and Seymour and two dogs named Dakota and Hector.
Emma Williford, DVMDr. Williford grew up in Northern Delaware and attended the University of Delaware, completing a double major in wildlife conservation and animal science. She then spent several years at a wild bird rehabilitation center. After moving to upstate New York and working at a farm animal sanctuary, veterinary medicine continued to call, so she enrolled at Cornell University and received her DVM in 2007.
During veterinary school, she explored companion animal behavior, and completed a project studying canine temperament tests in shelters which earned her a trip to the AVMA convention in Hawaii to present her results. She is very excited to join this practice and currently shares her home with 2 cats, a very large shepherd mix, and 2 budgies.
Melissa Stevans, DVMDr. Melissa Stevans was born and raised in the Northeastern part of Pennsylvania and received her BS in Biology from the University of Scranton. She received her DVM from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts.
Dr. Stevans has a miniature schnauzer named Kallie, a cockatiel named Calvin, two chinchillas named Morris and Borris and two cats named Domino and Willow.
Genevieve LaFerriere, DVMOriginally from Cherry Hill, NJ, Genevieve is a Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate who spent her undergrad years at Rutgers University, Cook College. She enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities, especially hiking and kayaking. She shares her home with two beautiful brindle Perro de Presa Canario and a wide assortment of geckos and snakes.
